Third quarter is almost over and things are going to continue to get busy for us. Please be sure to be checking our calendar so you do not miss out on any of the great events we have happening.
Baseball and track are just getting started and we have the musical, “Beauty and the Beast” showing the end of the month on the 29th, 30th and 31st. Student Government elections are taking place and all voting will take place online. SBO skits will be Thursday, March 16th at 1 PM in the gym for all 7th & 8th graders. Other events include the NJHS field trip to Odyssey Elementary, the girls’ basketball team is successfully moving through the season, we are hosting the National History Bee, and we will soon be playing baseball games and participating in track meets. Our month is busy with great things happening!
I want to thank our community council members for the time, suggestions, and support they offered this year. Our last meeting’s minutes as well as the final Trust Lands budget are posted on our website. We do have a couple members who are leaving and we need to fill 2 more spots on the council for next year. If you are interested, please call the school and let us know. We meet 4 times during the school year and community input is necessary for our continual growth.
The WSD School Board approved boundary changes for next year and we are pleased to have all Pioneer Elementary students attend Orion as well as welcome current Harrisville/Pleasant View students who have been attending Wahlquist. We will be going through boundary exceptions once we have all our new students registration completed after March 15th.
Thanks for supporting the Titans and have a GREAT month! Remember Spring Break is April 3rd through the 7th!
