We are excited with the many great things that are happening this month! Our baseball and track teams are excelling, SAGE testing is underway and going well, student government elections are almost completed, and our spring dance is Friday, April 21st from 6 – 8 PM. This dance is best dress and school dress code must be adhered to. Also on Friday, April 21st, Grace Schaelling will find out if her Reflections music entry won on the state level. We are proud of her and wish her good luck!
Parents, as you drop your student(s) off in the morning, please pay close attention to students who may be on a bike, skate board, long board, scooter or walking. Our students do not always use sidewalks or crosswalks so please be extra vigilant in watching out for them.
On Wednesday, April 26th at 8 AM, we will be hosting a recognition assembly for the 9th grade students who earned the Presidential Educational Academic Award. This will be in the cafeteria and you should have received a postcard with this information if your student is receiving this award. We look forward to recognizing our students for their academic accomplishments. Since we will be hosting this in the cafeteria, we will not be serving our normal breakfast on this morning. This is the only time breakfast will not be served.
The Orion Book Fair is running from April 17-21. Students can visit at lunch to look at books this week. It is the Buy One Get One Free Book Fair from Scholastic, so it is a great time to stock up on great books!
April 24th through the 28th is National Secretary and Aide Appreciation Week. We want to thank our secretaries and aides for the outstanding job they do each day. If you get the chance to thank them, please do.
As part of our school improvement, we are asking you to participate in a survey. You do not have to answer questions on both administrators and all teachers; select as many as you want. Your input will help us as we strive to improve. Here is how to access the survey: Login into “MyWeber” at http://myweber.wsd.net which is the portal for information (grades, attendance, etc.) for your student. If you have not registered there is a link there to start that process. Once you have signed into MyWeber there will be a survey link. Selecting that link will start the survey where you can choose the teachers and support staff that are associated with your student. This list may include counselors, media specialists, special education teachers and related service providers. If you have questions, please contact the school.
We look forward to finishing the month of April off strong and enjoying the many activities we will have in May. Thank you for your support of the Titans and if you have questions or concerns, please contact me.
