The Orion Advanced Band went to the Weber School District Intermediate/Advanced Festival. This is a little more competitive than the beginning band festival, as groups are just graded on their performance by a judge. Orion walked away with two Superior ratings from the judges, which is the best score you can get in a music festival! So proud of these students' hard work!

Construction Tech has just finished learning about Blue prints, Architectural Rulers, and Biding on a Job. With these acquired skills they then choose the shed plan they wanted to make and came up with an estimation of how much it was cost to frame it out along with how much profit they would make. With that bid they ordered their lumber and are now in the middle of constructing these sheds, converting the real life measurements into the 1" scale we are using.

Students in College and Career Awareness have been spending the week to try and take a single sheet of printer paper and 30 cm of masking tape and build a tower over 100cm tall. They thought it an impossible task. However the record reached for each period is, 150 cm for 5th, 176 cm for 6th and 160 for 7th. Well over the 100 cm height.
