Attention all trivia nerds, random-fact collectors, and people who somehow know things nobody ever taught you! National Academic League, or NAL, is holding clinics next Monday, October 5th, right after school in the library.

If you like answering questions, working with a team, or finally putting all those completely random facts in your brain to good use, come check it out!

You can be a buzzer beater, a student that buzzes in super quick and answers the questions... OR on the Presentation team, a student who excels in research, fact collection, and public speaking.
So come and give them both a try, and see what fits you best!

So stow this away in your brain! Clinics for NAL are next Monday October 5th. Tryouts are Wednesday October 7th. Both will be held after school in the Library!

College and Career Awareness are finishing up their Agricultural Unit. They researched individual states for the best crops and livestock to raise, designed a farm with that information, and then played a D&D style game with their farm design to see if their farm would survive the different weather and predator attacks over 8 years.

It's time for the school's Reflections Art Contest for 2026! The theme is "What My Culture Means to Me." Entries are due October 5, 2026. Below is a link where you can find the rules and where to enter-- make sure to read the rules!

There are six different categories you can enter: Literature, Photography, 2-D Art, 3-D Art, Music Composition, Dance Choreography, and Film Production. You can enter each category once!

Dear Orion Junior High Families,

We warmly invite you to attend our Parent-Teacher Conferences on September 30 from 3:00 to 6:30 p.m. This event will be held as an open house, with teachers available in their classrooms to meet with families.

Because of the number of students at our school, we kindly ask that meetings be limited to five minutes so that all families have an opportunity to connect with teachers.

Please also note that, due to a scheduling conflict, picture retakes have been rescheduled for October 6.
