The 8th Grade Robotics class had an awesome time at the District competition on April 13th. Along with other Junior high robotics classes within the district, they were challenged to build a drivable robot that could pop the three balloons of the competition while keeping theirs safe. We took 3rd in the main, 1st and 2nd in design. Way to go Titans!!!

Correction: extended one week!

Statistics questions - all 7th grade students were able to survey 50 other 7th grade students to give them hands on learning about our unit of data and statistics throughout the upcoming week. We all enjoyed the sunshine and interactions with one another. It was fun to hear all of the different answers to the questions.

The long awaited day has arrived!! Drone aviation class has learned the basic laws, anatomy and physics needed in flight. They checked out a drone and are starting to master their ability to fly along with logging their flights information. In the coming weeks the challenges will increase in skill level as they master the basics. The jerseys are to help identify roles of the flight crew members and who is on which team.

BAM! Students in 2D Art 1 had a blast using acrylic paint markers to learn about lettering in Art and create their own onomatopoeias! To celebrate and reflect on what they made, they participated in an art gallery where they were able to share their work and give feedback to their fellow artists. Go check out their art on display in front of the library!

Mrs. Lee's Digital Media Class has been learning Photoshop. We made Subway Art and printed them on Canvas. Kids got to wrap their canvas prints on boards and take them home to keep as artwork for their room or as a gift to someone!

Art Wars- What's an art teacher to do right before and after a break? Maybe wage war!?! Art students in Ms. Park's class worked in small groups competing to create art within a theme, and the class voted for Best Use of Elements, Best Use of Materials, Most Creative, and the People's Choice. Students really put their creativity and community to use as they made art to win trophy bags!
