The book I will review for you is an amazing romance fiction novel by Holly Goldberg Sloan. This book is called I’ll Be There. I can tell you that this book was heartfelt and adventurous. I, personally, have never read any other books by Holly Goldberg Sloan, but judging from I’ll Be There, they are bound to be great. This book is set in the western states of America in 2011.

Emily goes through an adventure across the country to find the mysterious boy who helped her when she needed someone most. Emily is a 16-year-old girl, her dad is a choir professor, her mom is a nurse, and she has a little brother named Jared. She is just your average regular teen with a normal family. Emily lives in a bright yellow house in the suburbs. A mysterious boy named Sam Border lives with his crazed father and his little brother, Riddle. Sam is 16 and wants to be a musician when he grows up. He has always loved playing the guitar. Sam and his family live in a worn down house which is not paid for. Clarence Border, the dad, is always up to no good. He is a thief and a liar and will do anything to not get caught.

This book has many twists and turns that you won’t expect. This is one of the reasons I loved this book. It is kind of like a roller coaster where everything seems to go smoothly with no problems, when all of a sudden, it throws you for a loop. One of my favorite quotes from the book is, “You should only ask someone if they love you if you love them, regardless of what the answer might be.” This quote means so much because it is true. As Emily is trying to find mysterious Sam Border, he is running and hiding from his crazy dad to stay safe. Emily realizes that her love for him is growing. All Emily want to do is stay with Sam.

I believe anyone who is looking for a heartfelt romance book needs to read I’ll Be There. This book will definitely bring tears to your eyes. This book is a pretty fast book. If you keep reading, you won’t want to put it down. I loved this book because of the adventures that Emily will go through to find Sam and confess her love to him. Emily knew in that one moment in church when she met eyes with him, it was meant to be. Holly Goldberg Sloan is an amazing author, and hopefully this review will persuade you to read I’ll Be There and all her other books that are bound to be amazing as well.
