Titan Time
a. Students are registered for Titan Time as an 8 th period class Tuesday through Friday. Students will stay in their same Titan Time class the whole year.
b. This has helped immensely to help students and teachers have ownership of what is happening during Titan Time.
c. As students are requested by a teacher, students take more ownership of what they need to accomplish to succeed in their education and learning.
d. Those teachers who have 7 th grade students help students more, but as they get to 9 th grade the students are more on their own to track their progress.
e. Titan Time lasts 25 minutes 4 days a week.
f. There are 25 students in each Titan Time class. The hope is that students will have the same Titan Time students all through their Junior High career.
g. The data on Titan Time has been really positive

LIA (Latinos in Action)
a. Our goal was to have 35 kids in this program,
b. Students walk to Majestic Elementary twice a week to tutor and mentor students there

b. Mr. Patterson is hoping to use this test data to use Trust Land and TSSA funding to help make an impact on helping students at Orion’s test scores rise.

c. Next meeting Mr. Patterson would like to go over this more and take a look at these scores as a committee to find ways to help increase test scores.

MTSS
a. This is a guiding framework that says 85 percent of our students do well with tier one teaching, 13 percent do well with tier 2 teaching and 2 percent need different kinds of teaching

h. This program will give a better system of support for students and teachers

Digital Portfolio
We are still working toward implementing this program at Orion. We want students to track their progress so they can see their progress in each class.
a. This gives us tremendous data so that students can see their progress from 7 th to 9 th grade.
b. This will also help students as they start applying for scholarships to have documented data.

Current funding for Trust Land budget was gone over

Discussion items:
Digital Literacy
a. The first week of school we go through our Digital Literacy Training
b. Mr. Patterson receives a filter report every 2 days that flags searches that are questionable
c. If there are issues with these sites Mr. Patterson and Mr. Hansen work with the students and parents to help the student.
d. The district is working on a program that will allow parents access to this report
